Today, we’re diving into a powerful story from the Bible that truly highlights the greatness of Jesus and acts as a perfect reminder of why we believe, without a doubt, that God is great.
One of the most remarkable stories about Jesus is found in the Gospel of Mark, Chapter 4, verses 35-41.
It’s the story of Jesus calming the storm. Jesus and His disciples were crossing the Sea of Galilee when a furious storm suddenly hit.
The waves were crashing over the boat, and the disciples were terrified. They thought they were going to drown.
In the midst of the chaos, Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke Him and said, ‘Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?’ Jesus got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Quiet! Be still!’ And just like that, the wind died down, and it was completely calm.
Jesus turned to His disciples and asked, ‘Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?’
The disciples were amazed and asked each other, ‘Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!’
This story is a powerful reminder of Jesus’ authority over nature and His ability to bring peace in the midst of our storms. It shows that no matter what challenges we face, we can trust in the greatness of God.
